Two products, one flock

Everything we sell, we raise ourselves.

We are not a distributor and we do not buy in stock to fill gaps. If it is on this page, it came off our own ground. If we cannot supply it in a given week, we say so rather than source it elsewhere.

What we sell

How the two fit together

A laying farm and a meat farm are usually separate businesses. Ours are the same birds, which changes what we can honestly tell you.

One flock, one ground

The cockerels we raise for meat grow up on the same pasture as the hens laying your eggs. Same feed, same conditions, same open gate if you want to come and look.

Killed to order, never held

Chicken is slaughtered on the morning of your delivery day and reaches you chilled. Nothing is frozen, and nothing sits in a cold room waiting for a buyer.

Nothing bought in

The reason we can invite you to the farm is that there is nothing to hide behind. The moment we resold someone else's bird, that invitation would be worthless.

Ordering, by product

Chicken is killed to order, so it works on a tighter clock than eggs.

Why chicken closes the night before. We do not keep dressed birds in stock. Your order tells us how many to slaughter that morning, which is the only way to deliver a bird that was alive the previous evening. Order after 8pm and you go on the next delivery day for your zone.

Not sure what to start with?

Message us and say how many people you cook for. We will tell you what to order and what it will cost, without upselling you a tray you cannot get through.
